How to Plan an Interview Podcast with Lisa Zawrotny
As a podcast management company, I get a lot of questions around how to give good interviews, and I usually will send clients to listen to Lisa Zawrotny’s podcast for a perfect example of someone who always gives good interviews. As an interviewer or as an interviewee, it’s important to stay present and focused, go in with a plan, and really have the proper presence to show up as your best self. Lisa Zawrotny is the founder of Positivity Living Systems and the host of the podcast The Positivity Living Podcast. This week, episode 18 of Listeners to Leads is about how to plan an interview, with guest Lisa Zawrotny!
In this episode of Listeners to Leads, Lisa is sharing the importance of being prepared for an interview and actionable steps you can take right now to show up as a great interviewer or interviewee.
Lisa Zawrotny and I also chat about the following:
- Processes for picking and planning your content
- Planning for an interview, no matter what side of the mic you’re on
- How to stay on track during the interview so no one gets distracted
- How to come back from a guest derailing the conversations, and other difficult moments in interviewing.
Being interviewed or interviewing guests gets easier over time with practice, but following the tips laid out today in this conversation will make sure you show up focused, calm, and present so you rock either side of the mic.
Be sure to tune in to all the episodes to receive tons of practical tips on turning your podcast listeners into leads and to hear even more about the points outlined above.
Thank you for listening!
